How to check a licence

Search the regulator’s own register by company name or licence number: grai.ie. That list is the authority; the table below is our copy, read on 31 Oct 2026.

Where players complain

  • Take the dispute to the operator. A dispute over a bet, a payout or an account is yours to raise with the operator. GRAI complaints page
  • No ombudsman or independent adjudicator. Ireland has no gambling ombudsman or dispute-resolution body for players.

Enforcement

The GRAI is a new regulator with heavy statutory powers: turnover-based fines, court-ordered blocking and payment bars, and licence suspension.
