Argentina gambling law updates

The implementing regulation of Ley 2724-P, dated 22 April 2026, was published in the Boletín Oficial of 20 July 2026 and took effect on 21 July 2026. It sets the management models, the games a licence may cover, the minimum content of the tender conditions, the licence value, a monthly canon of not less than 12.5% of netwin and a guarantee of at least ten times the minimum monthly canon, and the technical, player-protection, payment, advertising and AML rules for licensees.

Ley 2724-P lets CAS award up to five online licences by public tender. As of 14 October 2026 no tender has been called: CAS's tender index lists none and the Boletín Oficial issues of 10 June to 9 October 2026 carry no call. Still to come are CAS's Reglamento Técnico, its choice of management model, the resolution approving the tender conditions and fixing the licence value, and the call itself. Local press on 5 October 2026 quoted the CAS president saying the tender was in its final stage of preparation.

Ley 10.743 art. 20 told the Executive to regulate the law within 90 days of its promulgation on 10 October 2024. No regulating decree, AJALAR resolution on online gambling or licensing pliego was found on AJALAR's site, in the gazette scans to 9 October 2026 or on the contracting portal. Until it appears, the canon, the guarantee, the health-programme percentage of gross income, the exclusion periods and the technical specifications stay unpublished.
