- Not in a report yetAct LIX of 2026 ends the SZTFH's role in state concessions, gambling concessions included
Under the Concession Act (1991. évi XVI. törvény), concession tenders and contracts awarded in the name of the state, gambling concessions under s. 10/C included, no longer need the prior consent of the SZTFH (Szabályozott Tevékenységek Felügyeleti Hatósága); the minister or central government body the Government designates by decree runs them, and the SZTFH president hands the concession files to the minister responsible for state assets within 30 days. In force 1 October 2026 (Magyar Közlöny 2026/142, promulgated 30 September 2026).

- 22 Sep 2026Szabályozott Tevékenységek Felügyeleti HatóságaOfficial noticeThe Hungarian gambling regulator SZTFH issued a corrective statement about a law that Parliament passed on 22 September 2026, which removes its concession-related duties and powers.
SZTFH says it never had power to award concessions or sign concession contracts, and it rejects claims made in the bill's justification and in the parliamentary debate.
